Design and install a facade lighting to illuminate all the 9 retail buildings, shade structures in the walkway areas in addition to the linear lighting over the main canopy area of the most vibrant lifestyle destination in Dubai, the Bluewaters Island.
Martin Professional Middle East worked with Neo Lighting to develop a concept for the facade lighting which consists of media facade for all the 9 retail buildings in addition to some wash and pixel dots on the shade structures in the walkway areas and dazzling linear lighting over the main canopy area.
Bluewaters is an island that blends a pioneering spirit with the exhilaration of city life to create an unrivalled experience that includes Caesars Palace and Ain Dubai, the world’s tallest and largest observation wheel. The island is off the Jumeirah Beach Residence coastline, near Dubai Marina and features residential, hospitality, leisure and entertainment spaces. Bluewaters Island was built on reclaimed land by Dubai developer, Meraas Holding.
Martin Professional Middle East supplied the facade and linear lighting systems. Together with Neo Lighting, MPME developed and implemented a concept for the facade and linear lightings using various lighting fittings from the range of architainment products of Martin by Harman such as Exterior PixLine 10, Exterior Dot HP, Exterior Linear Grazer, Exterior Wash 300 and VC-Dot 9.
A state-of-the-art video control system was used to control all the fixtures installed from a central location based on the P3 system from Martin by Harman which communicates over a dedicated fiber optic network. It connects the main control room to the different ELV rooms in several buildings on site. A Green Hippo Karst media server was used to provide the media effects and programs along with the Martin M-PC DMX PC-based software. The M-PC DMX PC-based software serves as the main DMX controller for all the mushrooms and the main canopy area as well as the scheduler for the ON\OFF and scene selection operations using the built-in astronomical clock.
The MPME team provided support to the main contractor Alec and the appointed MEP contractor AE Arma during the installation supervision, commissioning and programming by dedicating a team for onsite support throughout the span of the project installation.
In addition, Martin Professional ME provided various content for the media facade buildings as well as different lighting scenes for daily operations and special occasions as per request of the client. These contents will also fulfill the concept developed with Neo Lighting and deliver the completed requirement to the best satisfaction of all parties involved.
